summer sucks. september is worse. megan came in for the weekend, and, for lack of other things to do, we drove to south miami, did a little off-roading in my G, went to sunset place and got worried in the parking garage after my truck hit the clearence sign (but it fit anyway), attempted to find a frat party at UM (there were none that night), went to a very friendly wendy's, drove a very muddy G500 down the streets and alleys of south beach, and then spent half an hour doing a photo shoot at the Shell Car Wash. good times to be had.

megan is a very good off-road drive, and successfully avoided running over two alligators, although when we were fording some marsh, she hit a part that was more than 22 inches deep, so we had to back up and find another place to ford. she has to learn how to properly engage the transfer case and differentials, though.
